3rd Graders began their study of how animals grow and change
by observing the parts of a hard-boiled egg. Then they ate them!

Kindergarteners in Rroom 16 used the QR scanners on the iPads
to listen to some back-to-school books at the listening center!

Preschool had a great week celebrating Johnny Appleseed and apples.
Here is a picture from our Johnny Appleseed celebration.
We made applesauce, tasted different types of apples, and made “pots” to wear like Johnny did.
Here we are graphing our favorite way to eat an apple.

Here are three of our cheerleaders at Sunday’s game cheering on Varsity
who defeated Christ the King with a score of 30-22!
Great job Maddie Marin, Bridget James, Amanda Garcia and Amanda Lascody!

Mrs. Revis’ Kindergarten class using Skittles and water to create patterns.
Our very own scientists, Ella Trybula, Brooke Heilmann, Jonathon Moran and Olivai Brennan
were intrigued by the various patterns they created!

Our Spanish teacher Mrs. Fike uses the Bright Link in the Library
to teach Spanish to our second grade students.
This was a lesson refreshing their knowledge of numbers in Spanish.
Students sing along with the lesson on the screen.

The fifth graders learned that yeast is a living organism.
It used the sugar to grow and expand, and fill the balloon with air. The bottle with sand did nothing.

Our Kindergarten classes celebrated the Blessed Mother’s birthday on Thursday, September 8.
They gave her flowers and sang her songs.

"Go Diego Go!" (Number #9) Diego Alvarez breaks a St. Catherine tackle. Peter James (#90),
Joey Heilmann (#10), and Michael Lundy (#27) assist on the play.
The JV team worked hard but ultimately fell to St. Catherine.
Our Varsity Team was victorious 28-6 over St. Catherine. Way to Go Hawks!

Mrs. Lehnerer’s class took some time to visit church.
They took the time to light a candle and say some prayers.

The eighth graders were busy showing off their wicked Ultimate Frisbee skills during PE last week.
We are so fortunate to have a great PE teacher like Mr. Kraft who gets the students moving every day. We are also fortunate that we have such a wonderful campus that allows us to have gym outside.

This is a picture of our 4 year old preschool class in our spruced up playground.
The Men’s Club gave us a very generous donation so we could replace our old mulch with
new improved mulch, remove the sandbox and the old railroad ties and lay new sod where needed.
The courtyard and the playground look outstanding and our students are loving it!
Thanks Men’s Cub and Maintenance!
