 In 7th Grade Science the students are learning aboutthe probability of inheriting different character 
                    traits
 so 
                    they did an experiment with a coin determining the probability of heads or tails.

 Some of our 3rd Grade Students used iPadsto read articles about Veterans Day on Read Works!
 They realized that is important to thank and remember our veterans for what they have done!
 
 We had another successful Veterans’ Assembly this year.One of the most poignant moments in the program is when Taps is played.
 We are fortunate to have two talented students who play Taps live for us.

 In First Grade we have been learning about poems.Here are some First Grade students from Mrs. Kelly’s room
 enjoying reading from poem books together!
 
 Mrs. Halbauer’s Sixth Grade Homeroomis simultaneously studying Egypt in Religion and Social Studies
 and built pyramids with temples to extend the lesson.
 
 Our 8th Graders went to Springfield to add to their study of the Illinois Constitution.They visited the old and new Capitols, Lincoln’s House, and the museum.
 The students had a wonderful time and learned much
 about our Illinois government and Abraham Lincoln.

 Here are our 6th Graders learning how to use the ukulele in music class with Mrs. Keelan.You can tell by the smiles on their faces how much they enjoy music class, especially the ukulele.
 
 Our JV Soccer Team won the championship by beating St. Agnes 2-0.This capped off an undefeated season for our Hawks!
